Operating the DSR-4530
Test Field Default: Off
Note: The Test field returns to the default value (Off) when the field is exited.
The Test field provides an IRD alarm test when this field is set to On. Press the

buttons to display the two options: Off or On.
Press the ENTER button to select the option shown and exit the field.
ASI Output Menu
This menu allows the user to configure the digital ASI output. It is used to define
the format of the ASI output and to enable PID aliasing. Press the

buttons
until the ASI Output menu appears (shown below).
Enable Field Default: On
The Enable field allows the user to enable (on) or disable (off) the ASI output.
Press the

button until the cursor is at the Enable label, and press the ENTER
button to move into the field. Press the

buttons to display the two options: Off
and On. Press the ENTER button to select the option shown and exit the field.
Format Field Default: Byte
The Packet and Byte options specify the transport stream packet structure. When
the ASI Output is enabled, the DSR-4530 outputs MPEG-2 transport stream
packets, either as a burst of contiguous bytes (Packet option), or as individual bytes
(Byte option). Press the

button until the cursor is at the Format label, and press
the ENTER button to move into the field. Press the

buttons to display the
options: Packet or Byte. Press the ENTER button to select the option shown and exit
the field.
PID Alias Field Default: On
The PID Alias field defines audio/video/data characteristics of the transport stream.
Press the

button until the cursor is at the PID Alias label, and press the ENTER
button to move into the field. Press the

buttons to display the two options: Off
and On. Press the ENTER button to select the option shown and exit the field.
When PID aliasing is Off, the ASI and Gig-E output contains the entire
transport stream.
When PID aliasing is On, the ASI and Gig-E output contains only video, audio,
and data components of the selected channel and the PID values are remapped
to a consistent numbering scheme.
