Guard The group guard channel.

Scanned Channels The channels scanned in a particular group. When the channel numbers are

followed by an ellipsis (...), there are more scanned channels than the display

allows, and you have to open the Groups dialog box to see all the channels in the

group.

Parameter Description

Priority Channel The channel the radio switches to by pressing the priority button on the front

panel.

Scan Rate The time interval the radio scans each channel (seconds/channel).

Baud Rate Radio serial communication baud rate (bps). This parameter may be modified

only if your user level is Technician.

Alert Tone The radio speaker alert tone: low or high.

CW PTT Hold The time which elapses between the moment you release the PTT button until

the radio stops the transmission.

Alternate Display The time interval the radio shows its unstable displays Frequency, Clarifier

and Dimmer, on the front panel. Following this time interval, the initial

display returns.
