Note: WEP is the weakest option because it is
highly vulnerable to hacking. WPA2 is recommended
by IEEE.
Channel—Select a channel that minimises potential
interference. You may need to try different channels
after your hotspot has been active for a time.
Touch Save when the settings are complete.
Activate hotspot
Find it: > 3GMobileHotspot > Tap to start
mobile hotspot service
When your Wi-Fi hotspot is active, other Wi-Fi enabled
devices can connect by entering your hotspot’s SSID,
selecting a Security type and entering the correct
Wireless password.
If you can’t activate the Wi-Fi hotspot:
1 Contact your service provider for the Access Point
Name (APN) settings.
2 Touch Menu > Settings > Wireless & networks
> Mobile networks > Access point names > service
provider, then enter the settings from your service
provider.
3 Tou ch APN type, then enter dun (all lowercase) and
touch OK.

Connect
You need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network or
another device:
Connect to your computer with a USB cable
(see “Connect through a USB cable” on page 52).
Connect to a Wi-Fi network or use your own Wi-Fi
hotspot (see “Wi-Fi™” on page 35).
Media share will lead you the rest of the way.
