Using Your Smartphone as a
Modem
Note: This service may not be offered by your service provider.
You can use your Smartphone as an external modem for data transfer to and from your
computer or other device by using the i930 Sync Cradle or a RS232 data cable.
Note: To use your Smartphone as a GPRS modem, see “Working with GPRS
Connections” on page 92.
You can use your Smartphone to transfer data only when it is not in a call. If your
Smartphone is in a Private call when you set up a data transfer, the Private call is ended.
You will not receive any type of call or message notifications while transferring data.
For detailed instructions on using your Smartphone as a modem, as well as files you will
