Placing a Wireless Web
Connection Call
Keep in mind: You cannot dial wireless web connection
numbers through your phone’s keypad. All data and fax calls
must be placed through your computer.
Your phone will automatically redial 3 times (or until it is
successful). If the call is not connected after 3 tries, the display
will return to Standby Mode.
Ending a Wireless Web
Connection Call
Keep in mind: Some of the normal ways to end a call, like
pressing the Smart Button or closing the phone, will not work.
Note: Disconnecting the data cable or turning OFF your phone
will also end a wireless web connection call, but may disrupt
your computer. See page 139 for more information.
1.
Connect
Cable
Make sure the cable is connected properly.
See page 126.
2.
Place
Call
Open the application on your computer, like a
fax or dial-up application, and place the call
through the application on your computer.
The phone will display the number your
computer is calling (or name if in the Internal
Phone Book). You will see: Connecting.
Close Always close the connection through the
application on your computer. Your phone will
return to Standby Mode.
