5. Lift the keyboard stiffener away from the phone.

6. To replace, align the keyboard stiffener to the transceiver board.

7. Connect the keyboard flex connector to its socket on the transceiver board.

8. Lower the keyboard stiffener onto the transceiver board.

9. Insert and tighten two screws near the polyphonic speaker assembly.

10. Replace the speaker cover, keypad bezel, antenna, battery, and battery cover

as described in the procedures.

Removing and Replacing the Flip Assembly and Transceiver Board

1. Remove the battery cover, battery, antenna, keypad bezel, speaker cover, and

keyboard stiffener as described in the procedures.

2. Use the disassembly tool to disconnect the flip assembly flex connector. (See

Figure 17).
