Double Tap the new named phone icon to bring up 3 new icons (File Transfer, Object Push and
Dial-Up Networking”.
Double Tap the “Dial-Up-Networking” icon.
You will get “Connected succeeded on COM PortX” (COM Port may vary but remember
this port number). “OK” this screen.
You should now have a black plug on a green background over the Dial-Up Networking
icon.
Step 5
Create a Shortcut by Tap and Hold the Dial-Up-Networking icon now with a back plug with
green background and select Create a Shortcut – OK
Tap the STAR to view the Shortcut you just created. (In case of more than one Shortcut, yours
should have the black plug icon on it.) X out to Settings.
Step 6
Prepare for GPRS Connection
Double Tap “Network & Dial-Up Connections” from the Settings Menu.
Double Tap “Make New Connection”
Name the connection via an activated keyboard
Keep Dial-Up connection checked
Next >
On Select a Modem: Drop down the box and choose BT Modem on “PHONE NAME” COMX
Configure @ Baud 57600, 8, N, 1, Hardware, all else unchecked.
Tap “Call Options” Tab, Activate the keyboard and in Special modem commands area and enter:
Include the “ “ typed exactly as noted below for your specific carrier.
+cgdcont=1,”IP”,“wap.voicestream.com” (T-Mobile)
+cgdcont=1.”IP”,”wap.cingular”(Cingular)
Hide the keyboard and tap “OK”
Ignore the Windows CE Networking warning message and the OK to close the window
In the Modem window Tap “Next >”.
In the “Phone number” field, activate keyboard and enter:
*99# (all else blank.)
Tap “Finish”
A new icon appears in the Connection Window with your connection name. X out to Settings
Step 7
Establish a GPRS Connection
Double Tap the New Phone Connection icon
Enter the following for a T-Mobile Connection
User name: user (For T-Mobile) [email protected]
Password: wap (For T-Mobile) cingular1
